Hi, Everyone! I’m Yue Xin who married with a lovely husband and 2 adorable sons. After 15 successful years in semiconductor industry, I’ve transitioned into a career that aligns with my passion: Helping people manage and grow their finances. I’m deeply committed to providing practical, trustworthy financial advice.
Outside of work, I lived a balanced and active lifestyle centred around my family, health and meaningful connections. I enjoy cooking meals for my family – it’s my way of showing love and care. On weekends, I love spending time outdoors with my kids, whether it’s exploring nature, visiting new places or just have fun at park.
Staying active is important to me, so I make time for jogging and playing badminton to keep both my mind and body refreshed. I also enjoy meeting new people, listening to their stories and sharing experiences – which naturally connects to my passion for helping others in their financial journey.
How Do You Define Success?
To me, success means living a life that aligns with my values, where I grow, make a positive impact, and feel satisfied with how I spend my time. As a finance consultant, I believe success is built on trust, communication, and a genuine desire to help others. This means understanding clients' needs, staying informed about financial strategies, and providing consistent, relationship-driven service.
Financial planning is at the heart of this approach, and to me, it's about creating a personal strategy to manage money wisely, so I can meet my needs today, prepare for surprises, and build the future I want.
By having a clear financial plan, people can ensure they have enough money for daily needs, emergencies, and future expenses, while also working towards their dreams, whether that's buying a home, funding education, or retiring comfortably.
How has work changed your life?
I'm making a big change in my career, from working in the semiconductor industry to becoming a financial consultant. This means I need to think differently and focus on people, not just data and technology.
As a financial consultant, I'll use my analytical skills to help people plan their finances and achieve their goals. I'll also need to develop new skills like communication, empathy, and self-discipline.
One of the best things about this new role is the freedom to manage my own time and work with clients in a way that's best for them. But with this freedom comes more responsibility. I'm also learning a new perspective on money - it's not just about making it, but also about saving, growing, and protecting it.
This new understanding is already changing the way I think about my own finances and helping me make better decisions about my money.
What is the most challenging part/moment in your career and how did you overcome it?
Before becoming a financial consultant, I worked in the semiconductor industry where precision was crucial. I faced a tough challenge when a product failed testing just before a major deadline. I used my engineering skills to break down the problem, analyze the causes, and find a solution. I worked with my team, stayed calm, and kept communication open. We fixed the issue and saved the project.
I learned that in high-pressure situations, clear thinking, teamwork, and emotional control are essential. Now, as a financial consultant, I use the same skills to help people with their financial goals. I analyze their situations carefully, communicate clearly, and stay calm under pressure. My goal is to be a trusted problem-solver and help my clients achieve their dreams.
